Dovey wows Trinidad
Atlanta-based Jamaican reggae/dancehall artiste Dovey Magnum ignited Trinidad last Saturday with a performance at the SOKAH Love, Riddim & Iron concert.
Alongside Trending Gyal's Shenseea and others, Dovey put the Brian Lara Stadium into a frenzy.
Dovey had the audience going wild as she rendered hits such as Bawl Out, Sex Slave and Prayer Me A Use and Win.
She received overwhelming support for her first time performing on the island and also took time to show respect to reggae icon Buju Banton, who was recently released from prison and returned to Jamaica.
"Oh my God! Di people dem never have to gwan suh ... . So much love and the energy. Trinidad love me, and I love dem too ... . They sing every line with me and cheer me on. I'm ready to go back! Respect to the Gargamel as well," she said.
The artiste will be heading to Jamaica in two weeks for several events, most important of which is her birthday celebration on December 28, which will feature Tifa, Ishawna, Yanique Di Curvy Diva, Starface, and other female acts.
