Good Samaritan tricked and robbed of motorcycle, cops say
A St Mary construction worker who goes by the alias Glockman has been charged after police say he turned a Good Samaritan moment into a terrifying robbery along the Charles Town main road.
Twenty two year old Rodrick Williams of Gully Road in Boscobel is facing charges of Robbery with Aggravation, Assault at Common Law, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony.
Reports are that about 7:30 in the evening on Saturday September 09 2023, a man was riding his 2020 Zamco motorcycle along the roadway when he stopped to help Williams, who appeared to be having mechanical problems with his own bike. Police say Williams and an accomplice then pulled firearms and robbed the man of his motorcycle, his Samsung A20 cellphone and cash before escaping on the stolen bike.
The incident was later reported and investigators launched a probe. Williams was eventually picked up and taken into custody.
He was charged on Wednesday December 03 after being positively identified during an identification parade.
His court date is now being finalised.
